We stand for educational opportunity & success

The ALTTF is a proud supporter of the Edmonton Food Bank, please bring any non-perishable food donations you can spare to the Edmonton Training Center.

Empowerment, skills, and solidarity took center stage at the Tradeswomen Build Nations Conference. This year’s conference was the largest ever with close to 4,000 attendees! Among them were 400 loud and proud women of LIUNA.

All workers on a construction project must be trained. Training should not only include how to perform the job tasks of their trade, but also how to recognize and avoid unsafe conditions and health hazards. We offer safety training such as Confined Space, H2S Alive and Fall Protection as well as skills training, such as proper use of PPE and operation of tools and equipment. Most projects in Alberta require workers to obtain these types of courses as a condition of employment, but employee training should be ongoing and kept up to date.

We highly recommend that members don’t wait until their tickets are expired to renew, training is open to all members in good standing as early as 90 days before expiry.

The ALTTF offers training in Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Calgary and Lac La Biche.

Training Centre’s will be closed Friday, March 29th and Monday, April 1st for Easter.
