We are re-opening at a limited capacity in order to provide much-needed training while also keeping our staff and members safe and healthy, please see our calendars for the current schedule. Please note that this may change suddenly based on public health recommendations.
Our procedures have changed, please review the following:
If you have a fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing or runny nose please DO NOT come in to our training centres. We will be waiving No Show fees for the time being to encourage members to practice social responsibility. If we see anyone showing these signs we will tell them to go home.
We will be limiting the number of people on the premises – class sizes will be small, there will be no waiting lists and walk-ins will not be accepted in order to maintain appropriate physical distancing. Since Energy Safety Canada has extended expiry dates for OSSA courses and H2S Alive, registration priority will be given to members who do not have a ticket made valid by these extensions.
If you need to use a computer for an online course or orientation, please call us first to make an appointment.
No coffee, tea, sugar, creamer or cups will be provided – we will provide bottled water for members to drink while at our facilities.
Please do not leave the premises during course hours – in order to minimize the risk to our staff and other members we ask that you stay on-site until your course is complete.
Practice physical distancing – keep at least 6 feet between people at all times. Our entrances may or may not be marked but we all know how far 6 feet is. This includes during breaks/at lunch. Please do not carpool to your course with anyone that isn’t from your household.
Practice respiratory etiquette – if you need to cough or sneeze, please do so into a tissue then immediately dispose of it, or into the inner bend of your elbow and then wash your hands.
Wash your hands – frequently, with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds. We will have hand sanitizer in strategic locations if you can’t wash your hands immediately.
Avoid touching surfaces – when possible, we will keep doors open to minimize contact but please be wary of anything you touch and wash your hands as often as possible to prevent spreading the virus. We will be sanitizing surfaces throughout the day and after hours but we cannot keep everything clean all the time.
Masks/Gloves – will be provided when course practical’s require members to be within 6 feet of another person but due to world wide shortages we cannot provide PPE to everyone in every course, feel free to bring your own.
